The Smartest Ways Businesses Are Marketing During Coronavirus

Every business is facing different challenges during the pandemic caused by the coronavirus which has taken over the world. Many businesses are shut down completely or operating in limited ways. However, there are still some creative and unique ways to market your brand. Obviously, this is based on several things including what type of company you have so let’s look at how different industries and businesses within those industries are marketing themselves right now:

  • Restaurants: Unable to have dine-in options, most restaurants have shifted to takeout or delivery only. Some restaurants are busier than usual as people have stocked up their refrigerators and freezers with food but miss having their favorite dishes from local spots. Restaurants are using email and social media to connect with people in their area, letting them know that they are open as well as running daily specials like BOGO chicken wings on a Thursday.
  • Telehealth: Most doctor’s offices remain open, but people are trying to avoid visiting if possible. Doctors have had to add telehealth or telemedicine services which allow them to connect with patients who need assistance. This is smart, but it’s also a chance to connect with new patients. Advertising via Google search to people looking for doctor’s who are open is smart and a direct way to target the right audience.
  • Attorneys: There is still a need for legal assistance, especially if workers are facing unfair or unsafe working conditions in regards to COVID-19. However, the cost to get the top clicks on Google has gone up as there are fewer people looking for legal assistance. Rather than getting in a bidding war, Google offers other, more affordable options to reach people looking for legal representation. Please refer to Search ‘N Deploy to learn more.
  • Gyms: If you are in the fitness field either with a gym, as a personal trainer, yoga instructor or even a physical therapist, right now people are not going to pay for these services. It’s the harsh reality but that doesn’t mean you should stop marketing. In fact, many people in this profession are getting aggressive with their marketing. For example, by offering free classes you can build up your social media followers, capture more email addresses, get your brand out there and connect with people. Once this is over, you can now easily reach out to those people and get them to sign up for your programs.

Every business has to be creative with how they market right now but these examples show you that companies are making the adjustments and benefiting themselves either in the short-term or the long-term by connecting with existing and new consumers in their area or around the country.
